Areas of Ministry: Relational Care ministers to people who have experienced a life event: having a baby or adopting a child, hospitalization, critical illness diagnosis, death of a loved one or assuming primary care for a loved one. We feel it is a privilege to minister love and encouragement to people during difficult life events and delight in celebrating a new family member.

Family: I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 29 years—Bill Brown. He has been a successful, freelance professional artist in DFW for 31 years and has always served bi-vocationally with me in ministry assignments. We have one daughter, Frances Anne, who is 10. God gave us such an amazing and miraculous gift when He sent Frances into our lives.

Saved: Raised in an incredible pastor’s home and came to the Lord at an early age. I’m a third generation minister/pastor. Both of my sisters serve in pastoral roles as well. Bill was also raised in a parsonage so both of us have been blessed with an incredible heritage of faith. Bill and I were both raised in the Foursquare movement.

Education: Graduated from Life Pacific (one of the Foursquare movement’s theological training colleges)

Previous Lines of Work: Have been serving in vocational ministry since I graduated from Life Pacific, except for a 4-year assignment in the corporate arena as a Customer Service Manager while also serving on a church planting team.

One of the Things I Find Most Fascinating: How God continually directs our lives toward His destiny and purpose, even with all the events and circumstances which, at points, seem to be “out of sync.”

Place in the World: Texas!—What other answer would a native Texas give??? We especially love the Texas Hill Country.
Place to Pray: Though I cannot go often, my favorite place to pray is at the cemetery in my hometown where my mom’s earthly shell is buried. I feel so close to eternity there—my grandparents and Bill’s dad are buried there also. They are precious people who are part of the “great cloud of witnesses” who paved the way for us and who now spur us on in kingdom efforts by joining their faith with ours. It reminds me just how fleeting our lives are—only the things we do in the name of the Lord and our relationships transfer into eternity with us. It keeps my prayers very focused on what really matters and, hopefully, makes me live my life differently.
